Marketing Internship

BBG&G is continually looking for serious students who are interested in hands-on learning in one of the leading advertising agencies in the Hudson Valley. Candidates must be excellent communicators, confident, and self-starters.

Objective: To assist with marketing tasks while learning skills related to marketing, advertising, public relations, and promotion.

Hours: Days / Hours - Flexible around class schedule. Typically 10-20 hours per week / 2 to 3 days per week.

Compensation: Internship position is not monetarily compensated, but is aimed to better prepare you for a future career in advertising. Any necessary paperwork will be completed by our Intern Supervisor to provide college credits. Intern may be eligible for traveling expenses.

Supervisor: Director of Agency Operations

Program Eligibility & Submission:

  • Students interested in the field of Marketing / PR / Design
  • Beneficial, but not mandatory: Completion of marketing college courses, previous experience with Mac computers, prior experience in an office environment
  • Must be comfortable in home office environment
  • Submission of requirements for internship completion/credit
  • Submission of Resume for consideration, Interview with Owners and Director of
  • Agency Operations, submission of references.

Responsibilities:
Depending on candidate’s strengths, Interns will be responsible for some / all of the following:

  • Research - Key to the success of every project, internet research is required for public relations campaigns, social media, new business development, marketing planning, event planning and more. Understanding the value of research and the way in which it will be used is a fundamental skill for agency personnel.
  • Account service - answering phones, filing, assisting with proofreading, coordination of mailings, assisting with projects as needed.
  • Public Relations - dissemination of releases to media, follow up with media, confirming coverage, development of media coverage report.
